This is a good basic family soap that used to be available in every hardware shop in every town and village in the country but now seems to be very hard to source.
This soap (in its raw slab format) is recommended for laundry and household use (e.g. collars, cuffs, floors, doorsteps, surfaces, stain removal, etc).
These bars really are the 'big boys of soap', ready to do all the heavyweight jobs around the house. Cut them with a cheese wire or a hot knife. You can grate the bars to make a washing solution too. One of the key ingredients is phenol which was one of the very first disinfectants.
